When to see a doctor or go to hospital
If you can’t keep any food or fluids down for more than 24 hours, are losing weight, feel very dizzy or faint, or have dark urine or haven’t passed urine for many hours, you may have hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of pregnancy sickness, and should see a doctor or go to hospital. Go to the nearest hospital emergency room straight away if you have bleeding, severe stomach pain or a high fever. Please also let your own doctor or midwife know about any treatment you receive.
